From its incorporation in 1960, Findlay Irvine are world leading experts in measuring skid resistance for airports having been manufacturing Continuous Friction Measuring Equipment (CFME) for over 20 years. Currently in use in over 550 airports worldwide, GripTester MK2 is the world’s most versatile, robust and deployable continuous friction measuring device. Also now available is the micro GripTester for Helidecks, there are over 120 Helideck micro GripTesters being used to improve safety on rigs across the world today.
Helideck micro GripTester is the world’s first purpose built continuous friction measuring device designed specifically for testing Helidecks and Helicopter Landing Zones. It has been purpose built to cope with harsh offshore environments and for transportation to hard to reach facilities.
The equipment developed by Findlay Irvine, in association with the Helideck Certification Agency in order to meet the stringent new safety criteria being laid out by the UK Civil Aviation Authority in CAP 437, which is now being adopted as best practice throughout the oil industry.
