After being checked the road traffic works (motorways, bridges, tunnels,...) and put into operation, they will be directly affected by impact factors. such as the load, the movement speed of vehicles, natural factors such as temperature, environmental humidity ... and other external factors. These impacts lead to failures and impair service capacity, as well as affect the life and ability to ensure traffic safety techniques of buildings. Therefore, the management of the exploitation and maintenance of road traffic works is one of the important tasks and needs to be deployed periodically for management agencies and organizations.
Recently, Management Center of the Saigon River Tunnel, under the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City, has implemented a procurement and equipped with a system of equipment to check the status of the Saigon River Tunnel (also called is Thu Thiem Tunnel). This equipment system is a modern non-destructive testing solution, integrated by many sensors, sensors and professional data collection and data analysis software from Roadscanners (Finland) (http://www.roadscanners.com/), a company specializing in providing solutions for inspection, assessment and management of transport infrastructure. In addition to providing integrated solutions, RoadScanners also provides survey services, quality assessment and digitalization of road infrastructure data. Currently, RoadScanners has provided solutions and services to 57 countries around the world, including major markets such as Finland, USA, Sweden, France, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, South Africa, Israel, Greece, Italy, Germany, Czech, Poland, Hungary, Azerbaijan ...
The non-destructive testing equipment system evaluates the status of the Saigon River Tunnel as a hardware system installed on the survey vehicle to collect and synchronize multiple data channels simultaneously with the survey location. (via DMI or GPS distance counter). Hardware measurement channels include:
+ CCTV to collect actual HD video images of road surface, wall, tunnel roof.
+ Thermal imaging camera is used to collect temperature images of road surface, walls and roof to detect moisture on the building surface.
+ 2D Laser scanner scans the surface of the tunnel, the road surface, on the point cloud map, measures across the road surface, detects the location of subsidence, measures the depth of subsidence, detects moisture and damage. .
+ 3D acceleration sensor measures road surface flatness and calculates the international roughness index (IRI).
In the near future, the Management Board of the Saigon River Tunnel Management Center plans to integrate more Radar Radar (GPR / Georadar) equipment from IDS GeoRadar (Italy) into the existing Roadscanners system. receive and be transferred technology to become a complete "patrol car" both checking surface condition and checking the condition inside the structure.
