ILTech successfully transferred continuous friction measuring equipment (CFME) model Helideck Micro GripTester of Findlay Irvine. Ltd

The friction coefficient surface of the helipad plays a very important role and greatly affects the operational safety of helicopter upon landing, meeting international aviation safety requirements, as well as regulations current domestic regulations. Helicopter could land almost anywhere on a helideck, so the surface should have adequate level of friction should exist wherever the helicopter wheels touchdown.

If the determination of the friction coefficient on the entire helideck surface is only investigated, observed and evaluated with the naked eye, is it possible to ensure the timely, accurate and effective factors?

The investment in specialized friction measuring equipment (CFME) is extremely practical, that are representative of the ‘real’ situation of a helicopter on a helideck, devices CFME employing a continuous measurement technique and surveys that cover the entire surface of the helideck, automated data collection, storage and processing facilities, Export results reports using specialized software.
