In recent years, in order to ensure the urban landscape, to remove the "spider web" lines that cause eyesight or fire hazards, advocate the underground deployment of electric lines, power cables and telecommunication cables. The communication has been going very strong and drastically. In addition to the efforts of related units, the work also requires the support of high-tech applications such as NDT (non-destructive testing) to be able to identify underground objects.
GPR is evaluated as a high-resolution non-destructive testing method, the most current technological solution in the detection and mapping of underground utilities such as pipes, wires, cables, etc.
For underground utilities, using GPR equipment has the following advantages:
+ GPR determines the location and depth of results with high reliability.
+ GPR can detect objects composed of both metallic and non-metallic materials.
+ GPR is not affected by electromagnetic interference when using shielded antennas.
+ GPR not only accurately detects underground works but also reveals abnormalities in underground structures such as (holes, jaws, etc.).
+ The results shown in radar cross-section images should be very intuitive, providing users with the "overall picture" of the underground space and the objects below can reach up to 100% of the area to be examined. close.
+ The results can be printed out as certification for further survey or further processed by advanced / advanced software to map underground technical infrastructure works.
On June 5 - 6, 2019, International Leading Technologies Transfer (ILTech) Co., Ltd. cooperated with the Customer to collect, determine the location and depth of existing underground utilities (water supply and drainage pipes, electric cables, telecommunication cables .. .) in Tran Binh Trong street (Hanoi City) by using the GPR model Opera Duo in order to design and lower the telecommunication cable in the future. The survey team has seriously, focused and deployed the work professionally and obtained reliable GPR data about the underground objects.
